主讲教授简介：

李教授是美国莱斯大学Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business的终身教授。他的研究兴趣集中在技术创业与创新（尤其是中国转型情境中的研究）、战略联盟与跨国公司在新兴市场中的创新、以及中国高科技园区的成长等领域。
　　李教授的研究成果已经在国际顶级刊物Academy of Management Journal（3篇）, Strategic Management Journal（6篇）, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Marketing, Organization Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Management and Organization Review, Journal of High Technology Management Research, Journal of International Marketing, International Business Review等发表。李教授在2016年获得了The Greif Research Impact Award，该奖项颁给在管理与创新创业领域成果发表五年内引用率最高的论文。

讲座摘要：

In this study we examine how an emerging market firm’s inward international activities (“inward activities”) are related to its outward international activities (“outward activities”) by focusing on the role of the firm’s gain from its inward activities. On the one hand, drawing upon the organizational learning perspective, we propose that a firm’s gain from inward activities may facilitate its outward activities through improving its resource fungibility. On the other hand, we draw upon the prospect theory to propose that a firm’s gain from inward activities may hinder its outward activities by discouraging the firm’s top managers from taking risks that are inherent in outward activities. With detailed data from a sample of manufacturing firms in China, we find empirical support for both lines of arguments.
